International Students

Foreign-exchange students at LCHS have added an exciting dimension and positive character to the school over the years. Local students love the opportunity to learn more about the world directly from the exchange peers who live in far-off lands. Their participation and contributions in the classroom offer powerful perspectives and memorable insight that helps strengthen the learning experience.

LCHS is honored to have students from Brazil, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden during the 2022-2023 year.

Foreign Exchange Students 2020-2021

Our 2020-2021 Foreign Exchange Students

In return, our Liberty exchange students enjoy an enriching experience that affords once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that contribute to their own academic growth, prosperity and leadership upon their return. Plus, exchange students make lifelong friendships which have extended the LCHS family quite literally around the globe.

Liberty is proud to host foreign-exchange students in cooperation with the following programs, each of which operate under U.S. Department of State rules (22 CFR Part 62):

Host Families Are Always In Need. We need more Liberty families to consider hosting exchange students. “Welcome families” host the student for the first two months, then can decide whether to continue with the student, or have them move on to another household. Please consider opening your home to one (or more) of our future LCHS foreign-exchange students.

Profiles of individual students are available for you to consider before deciding whether the student is a good fit for your household. If you have any interest at all, please contact any of the coordinators listed above or Mr. Torgun Lovely, LCHS principal.

A note from one of our former exchange students:

Could you still send me school newsletters the next academic year, please? So that way I can still be informed about the life of LCHS. I really miss all the Liberty kids and my host-family, and all the people I’ve met in U.S.

I really thank you for everything you’ve done for me during this year. I can’t imagine my life without this now. I had a wonderful year. Now, I can see that even clearer.

And by the way, if you see Gaeblers, say hi to them from me.

From Russia with love,
Sergey
